I was never really that fond of granola…not that I didn’t like it, I just never ate it. Until I started making my own eat clean version! Now I make a batch about once every two weeks. I’ve discovered the most amazing ways to eat it!
Option 1:
- Make a protein shake (I use unsweetened almond milk and BioX Chocolate Peanut Butter Swirl whey protein)
- Put 1/4 cup of granola in a bowl
- Pour the protein shake over the granola (don’t drown it… you can drink the leftovers)
- MMMmmmm Enjoy the yummy goodness!
Option 2:
- Put 1/4 cup granola in a bowl
- Add 1/3 cup greek yogurt (PC brand is the best)
- Add 1 Tbsp natural peanut butter (or other nut butter) {optional, but if you skip this you’re missing out}
- Add 1/4 cup frozen berries {optional}
- Mix together
- Enjoy!!! Delicious!
Ingredients:
DRY
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1/3 cup sunflower seeds
- 1/3 cup sesame seeds
- 1/3 cup pumpkin seeds
- 1/3 cup ground flaxseed
- 1/2 cup whole almonds and/or pecans, walnuts, etc
- 1 Tbsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp allspice
- 1/3 cup raisins (add after baking)
WET
- 1 Tbsp grape seed oil
- 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 Tbsp honey
Instructions:
- Mix dry and wet ingredients separately.
- Pour wet mixture over dry and combine.
- Spread mixture on baking sheet (lightly season with oil/butter if not using silicone).
- Bake at 300 for 15 minutes, remove and stir, bake another 15 minutes or until oats are golden.
