Employee wellness workshops are one component of a fullsome wellness strategy.
Numerous studies have shown that physical activity, good nutrition and general well-being in employees results in higher job performance, lower absenteeism, better mental health and greater workplace productivity. However, many people are unsure of the right steps to take to improve their health.
We provide wellness workshops where your employees will learn the exact steps to take to feel better and be more productive at work. Our presentations are interactive, action-oriented and practical.
Below are descriptions for our workshops.
This workshop will explain the effects of stress on the body, give you science-backed strategies to strengthen your mindset, and provide practical techniques and tools to manage stress, including relaxation methods that can be used anywhere, anytime.
This workshop will teach you how to recognize signs and symptoms of burnout, the three entities responsible for preventing burnout, and specific strategies for each group.
Do you feel that most days you are spinning your wheels, going full tilt, but not making any progress? You may feel pressure to be productive and are struggling just to keep up with all the hats you have to wear. Learn some practical ways to feel like you’ve won the day, even if it hasn’t gone all as planned. Learn what you should do the night before, why you should always make your bed, and the number one question to ask each day.
When you love what you do and have a high desire to succeed, it can be hard to stop working. However, taking time for yourself is important for your physical and mental health. You’ll learn the steps to improving work-life harmony, and where and how to set boundaries.
Do you operate in an all-or-nothing mentality? Guilt is a huge aspect of this black/white dichotomy, where you feel bad if you didn’t do something perfectly. The Grey Zone Mindset turns this flawed mentality on its head and proposes a radical approach of living in the “grey zone” where real life happens. It’s accepting that perfection is impossible to maintain and that less than 100% does not equal failure.
Emotional intelligence is our ability to identify and respond effectively to both our own and other peoples’ emotions. High levels of emotional intelligence help you to build strong working relationships and manage difficult situations calmly and effectively. You’re also likely to be more resilient in the face of adversity. Learn the elements that make up emotional intelligence and how you can develop skills in these areas.
It may seem like a good work strategy to do one more thing or push through. But, in fact, our focus and productivity will go down when our energy is depleted. This means we have to work harder and longer to get the same results that we would have had if we took the time to recharge. Learn activities that will help you relax, calm your mind and energize you. Come to both enjoy the experience and learn to recharge yourself.
There are many aspects to not having a good sleep: you may have trouble falling asleep, you might wake up a few times in the middle of the night, or perhaps it’s hard to wake up and when you do you still feel exhausted. You might struggle with ALL of these areas. Poor sleep contributes to low energy, sugar cravings, weight gain, and more. You’ll learn the exact things to do to help you fall asleep easier, stay asleep, and wake up energized.
It’s frustrating to set goals and attempt to create new habits and then not achieve them. Creating SMART goals is important, but there are also other methods and strategies that can help you be more effective and create long-lasting change. In this workshop you’ll learn the main roadblocks to achieving goals and what really works for achieving personal and team goals.
You know that feeling of stress piled on top of more stress? It’s not in your head. It’s exactly what’s happening in your body. However, there are ways that you can reduce your stress by simplifying life in a number of ways and taking back control over your mindset, circumstances (where possible), reactions, and surroundings.
Do you find yourself sitting most of the day? Excessive sitting can lead to neck and back pain. Learn a few changes to your set up that will alleviate pain, some simple ways to move your body more throughout the day and will include an active component where you’ll actually get up and practice specific stretches that help relieve tension and pain in your body.
What you eat, or don’t eat, can have a significant impact on your energy levels and productivity. This workshop will help you know what food to eat and avoid to gain more energy and mental focus/productivity, what vitamins, minerals and supplements are helpful for good mental health, and share ideas for snacks and treats.
